POTTERY AT SOLAR SISTERS: Discovering how to coil and join clay to make a decorative bud vase.

Join us for a fun evening of clay crafting with potter Ysanne Brooks. In each class you’ll discover a different hand-building technique, including pinching, coiling and slab-building. Your finished piece will be ready to pick up and take home after it has been fired and glazed in Ysanne's home studio.

We’ll supply all the materials and tools you'll need to craft your own clay creation in the two hour class but please bring an apron to keep your clothes clean.

ABOUT YSANNE

Ysanne Brooks is a journalist and ceramicist working from a bijou cellar studio in Surrey. Her experience in interiors journalism, including a stint as editor of a national homes magazine, provided her with a taste for all things beautiful. A move out of the Smoke to leafy Surrey 12 years ago became the first step in an exhilarating and rather unexpected journey that's resulted in her developing a ceramics business alongside her continued work in the magazine industry. Inspired by her many years writing about beautiful homes, she now specialises in useful, hand-thrown and hand-built pieces that simply but effectively enhance the home and garden.
